Russ and David Scott dueling mandolins

I retired from the Army, after 26 years, on December 31, 2003. Didn't do much until late February, when I started working at Walter Reed. There were more than 700 cases of cutaneous leishmaniasis in U.S. military personnel in Iraq, from summer/fall '03 through summer '04. Most of them were treated by the Infectious Disease Service at Walter Reed. Since nowhere near this number was expected, and the treatment involves 20 days on experimental intravenous drug (Pentostam), they needed extra people to handle the workload. Did that until late July, when there weren't any patients being treated, then in August I started courses in Regulatory Compliance (product development, FDA laws and regulations, that kind of stuff) at Hood College in Frederick. I like having time for the grandkids and stuff that I like to do, like play the mandolin.
